About Bots

If you've never used a Bot or seen one in action, you'll be amazed at what they can do. Instead of manually requesting friends, sending messages or posting ads one at a time, with a Bot you can automate the entire process and let it do all the work. This is essential for businesses, bands, social groups or individuals who are interested in marketing themselves, making new contacts and networking.

Here are just a few examples of what a Bot can do for you:

On MySpace and FaceBook:

  • Gather the ID's of all the profiles that match your seach criteria. Once you enter the parameters of your seach, a Bot will gather literally thousands of ID's that match up with that within mere minutes.
  • Send Friend Requests or Messages to every single ID you've gathered. Instead of manually clicking through each process one by one, let the Bot add EVERYONE that matches up with your search.
  • Bypass Captcha or make entering Captchas much faster. Some Bots offer a paid service to bypass every single Captcha code for 2 or 3 cents per Captcha, which allows you to FULLY automate the process - set it up and walk away. The ones that don't have 3rd Party Captcha Bypass usually provide an Alert and Popup so all you do is enter the Captcha whenever it pops up, the rest is automatic.
  • Schedule Bulletins, Auto-Accept Friend Requests, Send Comments to Every Friend and MUCH MORE!

On Craigslist:

  • Post and Confirm your Ad to multiple cities with one click. Just create your ad (with images or html if you would like) in the Ad Creation section of the Bot, and post to unlimited cities.
  • Rotate Ad Campaigns and Email Accounts. Create entire campaigns, test them out and switch automatically between multiple email or Craigslist accounts to avoid getting flagged.
  • Status updates and automatic re-posting. Some Craigslist Bots have features included that keep track of the status of your ad by receiving email message from Craigslist and updating so you never have to worry about an ad coming down. Automatic re-posting is built in so you can post it once and forget it.
  • Use Random Words, Automatic IP Switching, Custom Tags and MUCH MORE to successfully post as much as you want on Craigslist!

Are Bots Legal?

Yes, there is nothing illegal about using a bot unless it is doing something that would normally be illegal without a bot. For example, if you have a bot that is used to hack usernames or passwords by repeating random strings of information until a match is made, that would be illegal - but doing the same thing manually would be illegal as well. Bots don't do anything that you can't do manually using a program, so they are not illegal just by being a bot. They simply perform regular use actions on websites or programs automatically.

Will I Get In Trouble?

Because bots are so powerful in their ability to automate tasks, they can easily be used for activity that quickly uses up the resources of a website. For this reason, many websites that bots are designed for have rules limiting or banning the use of bots. Some people use bots to spam or harass other people, and these are the people that most websites aim to prevent from using their site (especially with a bot) and usually get their accounts deleted. If you are using a bot to automate tasks that are not damaging to others and do not use massive amounts of the website's resources, you will most likely never get in trouble or have your account deleted. However, you should check the Terms of Service for the website you plan to use and be aware of their guidelines for use of bots. Some bots are designed with features that make them appear much more human (not bot-like), which makes them less likely to be noticed and less likely for accounts to be negatively affected.

Please note: we do not support or promote the idea of spam. Sending your messages to people who have no interest in hearing from you is a waste of your time and theirs, and completely unnecessary considering the search tools available. It is very simple, with the right tools, to narrow down those 240,000,000 profiles available to just the ones that specifically fit in with the message you are trying to get out to them. Don't waste time on all the others.

How Do I Know Which Bot To Use?

Different bots have different features. BotReviews.Com tries to review each bot to see which features are actually usable and valid since some bot websites will advertise features that their bot is not truly capable of (CAPTCHA Bypass is a good example). Depending on your needs, a less expensive bot with fewer features might be just fine for what you need. Others may need more features and flexibility. Make sure to check through all the reviews and watch the demo videos to find the bot that is perfect for what you need.
